Wreath laying ceremony at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Knoxville, Tennessee, Nov. 19, 2022. This ceremony commemorates the 79th anniversary of the American assault on the Tarawa Atoll during World War II and honors Medal of Honor recipient, 1st Lt. Alexander Bonnyman. Bonnyman was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for leading a 21-man team in an initial attack against the Japanese forces.
