DESCRIPTION:ETMAC Communication from Captain Bill Robinson Chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America: \nOn Friday\, September 20\, 2024\, the Captain Bill Robinson Chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America will conduct an observance of National POW / MIA Day. \nThe ceremony will be held at the East Tennessee Veterans Memorial in Worlds Fair Park in downtown Knoxville. \nThe event is presented by AARP Tennessee and will offer free coffee and biscuits at 9:00 am\, followed by the ceremony at 10:00 am. \nThe featured speaker will be Captain Bill Robinson\, USAF (retired)\, the longest held enlisted POW in the history of our nation. \nThe colors will be presented by the Anchor Division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets Corps. \nMembers of the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard will present the Missing Man Table Ceremony and provide a rifle volley and Taps at the conclusion of the observance. \nAARP Tennessee invites the public to attend.
