DESCRIPTION:The first Mudder’s Day Madness Mud Run held at Montvale took place the day before Mother’s Day 2013. Some things change\, others stay the same\, and the best things just get better. Join us this year for the 13th annual Mud Run on the day before Mother’s Day\, May 10th\, 2025! \nThis event includes over twenty different obstacles\, rolling trails on a marked course\, and even a dip in the lake!  From Adversity Hill to the Tire Traverse and the A-Frame Climb\, runners 8+ years old can sign up to race independently or with a team. Costumes are encouraged and the most creative could even win an award! Vendors\, music\, and refreshments will be onsite for participants and their fans\, friends\, and families to enjoy along with the beautiful views. \nWe love to keep things exciting and fun\, so in addition to our 5K course (with brand new obstacles added)\, we’ve also added our first ever Fun Run for anyone 4+ years old! This Fun Run will take place right after the 5K\, will be a bit over a mile long\, and will include several of our obstacles. How fun! \nThe money raised from the event will support Harmony’s therapeutic programming at Camp Montvale which includes our equine therapy program and therapeutic camps for foster and adoptive children and families. \nFor more information\, reach out to us at connect@harmonyfamilycenter.org.

DESCRIPTION:ETMAC Communication: (from UT Center for the Study of Tennesseans and War) \n\nUT’s Center for the Study of Tennesseans and War Director\, Chris Magra has organized a symposium onThe military history of the Declaration of Independence and the historyof the American Revolution with an eye on next year’s 250thanniversary of the Declaration of Independence. \nThe symposium is free and will be held this Saturday\, March 1\, 9:30am-3:30pm at UT’s Baker School of Public Policy and Public Affairs (formerly known as the Baker Center) located at 1640 Cumberland Ave\, Knoxville\, TN. \nRegistration (just name and email) can be made at here. Seats are limited\, so register now if you want to attend. \nNine scholars from universities around the country will come to Knoxville to present their original research\, and Dr. Ricardo A. DESCRIPTION:A military history group in Tellico Village has a program to honor a Marine from East Tennessee. This is a fascinating story as Mike Melton reached out to find the Marine helicopter crew who rescued him many years ago. He was desperately wound and only wished to thank the crew who reached him in the middle of the night on a mountain in I Corps RVN. \nJoin us at Tellico Village Yacht Club upstairs on on the top floor. Some members will meet for lunch before the event.
