VETERANS APPRECIATION DAY – Vintage Baseball!!
Hosted by the Veterans Heritage Site Foundation
In partnership with the Veterans Heritage Site Foundation, we are taking the time to show our special thanks to all veterans on this day! Throughout the sevent inning stretch, Veterans will be able to participate in various “games”, activities, and receive special recognition. All veterans will receive a complimentary tour of the Historic Ramsey House, which will be open from 10:00-4:00.
1:00pm – Cumberland Club of Nashville vs Knoxville
This is a FREE event for the entire family! As always, concessions will be available, and all proceeds will go directly to the ongoing preservation of Historic Ramsey House. Make sure to bring your own chair and a shady umbrella or tent.
During the game:
–Veterans will be able to tour the Ramsey House free all day.
-Veteran Organizations will be able to set up tables to share their information.
-Throughout the day there will be special presentations and possible games to recognize various groups and veterans, including presentation of a Quilt of Valor
-Vietnam Veterans will be given their Welcome Home 50th Year Commemorative Pin after the first game.
-We are also looking for enough veterans to play a couple of innings of Vintage Baseball between games. You will not need a glove.
-This day will be a great day to meet other veterans. Bring a chair as there are no bleachers. There is also a picnic area.
-We will also have an update on the New French Broad Veterans Memorial Park.
If interested in having a table or if interested in playing in the game, please email Marilyn Childress; president@veteransheritagesite.org or call 678-920-1989
