The detachment website is going through a metamorphosis.
Chris Alberding (pictured above and in the INFO/Detachment Officers tab) is taking over the detachment website from Tim Shea. Chris's design will modernize the look and feel of the website and make it accessible from any type of device. The new design will be operable on mobile phones. There will be new features and a revised content presentation. Chris has set up a SAMPLE website that will give you a flavor. It is early days and will take some time to finalize. In the meantime, keep checking this website and the link below. This will be constantly evolving and will be the link until we migrate from the old site to the new site. so, check it often. The Jack McGivney Memorial Pistol Match was held 20 April 2024 at the Windrock Shooting Range and Training Center. Our thanks to Eric Matson for providing a great shooting venue. The Bonnyman shooters were greeted with drizzle and cloudy skies during registration. After the all-important safety brief and prayer by Chaplain Ron, the Match commenced with 14 shooters and ultimately sunny skies by the second relay.
The Top Marine shooter was the Ol’ web sergeant, Tim Shea. Tim fired an outstanding 380-7X. Expert, Sharpshooter, Marksman medals were copped by Larry Baldwin (377-12X), JR Russell (370-10X), and Keith Lyman (357-11X), respectively.
The Steel Plate Challenge was won by Sgt. Major Rick Arndt, (MCL Geneva, Ohio) downing 12/12 plates at 25 yards.
Many thanks to Nappy for providing the delicious, fresh sub sandwiches and cookies. Great job! Clyde and Mary Furr, and Sheryl Ryerkerk as has been custom provided the professional NRA scoring/tabulation and allowed for an efficiently run match. Thank you all for the great support. It was a safe and fun match!
